Our roots go back to the Auto Union:
| 1906 | Foundation by the Ruland family on the site of the Auto Union |
| 1990 | Foundation of Mechanischen Werkstätten Riemensperger GmbH; takeover of the business of the Ruland company with eight employees as part of succession planning |

First CNC processing centre is put into operation |
| 1993 | 16 employees make up the MWR team |
| 1996 |
Twelve CNC processing centres; the existing lathes were replaced by lathes with driven tools and full C-axis |
| 1998 |
12 CNC-Bearbeitungszentren, die bestehenden Drehmaschinen wurden durch Drehmaschinen mit angetriebenen Werkzeugen und vollwertiger C-Achse ersetzt |

Construction of and move to the premises at Schütterlettenweg 6 in the Ingolstadt South business park |
| 2000 | MWR are nominated as preferred supplier by BMW Motorsport (F1); 50 employees make up the MWR team |
| 2001 | Second premises at Schütterlettenweg put into operation with air-conditioned measuring room housing two CNC-controlled measuring machines |
| 2002 |
First five-axis laser cutting machines and the metal forming department begin operation |
| 2003 | Second five-axis milling machine is put into operation |
| 2005 | Due to increasing demands, two further five-axis milling machines are put into operation |
| 2006 | Realisation of steerable F1 models on 1:2 scale for BMW-F1 |
| 2008 | CATIA software is added in the design department |
